Over the last few weeks, Spider-Man: No Way Home has been crawling over the competition to claim higher positions on the list of all-time highest-grossing movies, and now it is less than $1 million away from overtaking James Cameron’s Avatar as the third largest movie ever in terms of the domestic box office, not allowing for inflation. As the twenty-seventh movie in the MCU, anyone could be forgiven for thinking that the superhero franchise must have run its course and be becoming a bit of a bore for audiences, but nothing could be further from the truth.
