The long-awaited film premiered in the United States where it’s going to earn about $44.1 million for its total haul from Friday to Sunday, putting Uncharted in the top spot at the weekend’s box office. It is expected to earn $52 million in North American theaters through the President’s Day holiday on Monday. These numbers are better than what Sony had been expected, and it might have something to do with releasing the film in theaters only.
